Ensuring Safe Drinking Water: PFAS Treatment Now in Effect at Perkasie Regional Authority Well Site #4

At Perkasie Regional Authority, protecting our community’s drinking water is our highest priority. We are pleased to announce that as of September 23, 2025, we implemented temporary treatment at one of our well sites to address the presence of PFAS (specifically PFOA and PFOS).

Prior to treatment, testing at this entry point showed levels of 3.45 parts per trillion (PPT) for PFOA and 18 PPT for PFOS. With the new system in place, both are now at non-detect levels—ensuring our customers receive water that meets the highest safety standards.

This temporary system will remain in effect until construction of a new permanent filtration building, anticipated to be completed in March 2026.

Perkasie Regional Authority is proud to be one of the first Authorities in the area to receive a PENNVEST Grant to fund this important project. We are also actively pursuing funding for a second well site to expand these protections for our community.

Your trust matters to us, and we are committed to transparency, investment in critical infrastructure, and delivering safe, reliable water for generations to come.
